I am the original owner of this Copper Mountain Beard Resonator. The finish is called Scarlet Mountainburst. I purchased this new with the ambition of having time to play the dobro again. Sadly it has spent its life in my smoke-free studio listening to other instruments being played. It is in mint - like new - condition. Comes with original HSC.
I have owned E-body (maple) and R-body (mahogany) Beard resonators. I would classify the tone of these somewhere in between the two. In the volume category, I would say it is almost as loud as an E-body.
Wish I had more time in my day!

Nice looking axe--but why a cutaway on a squareneck? |

I think Beard’s goal with his model series was to make a less expensive resonator that still had great tone and volume (and they do). They also offer a round neck model. Both models share the same body to keep expenses lower and more affordable to the buyer. This is just a guess, but pretty sure it’s the reason for the cutaway. |

This one does not have the pickup but I will include a strap and Beard wave capo if that makes a difference. |

That is exactly correct. For anyone curious the design sounds fantastic!
