I have a '69 Emmons that has split coil pickups on it. I didn't know Emmons had these until I got this one. I found a couple of wiring diagrams online that showed the split coils. _________________ Darvin Willhoite

First - you do mean "20.3k ohms" and so on - right?
Second - seems to be a split coil as previously mentioned. _________________ No chops, but great tone

My guitar still has the tele style selector switch (I am dumb when it comes to electronics) so exactly how do I hook this pickup up to work as a split coil, or do I have to change switches?....thanks jack |

The "Tele style" switch is still the same, that's it in the center of the diagram, viewed from the bottom. The toggle switch needs to be different though, the normal toggle switch is an SPST (two terminals) and the one for dual coils is DPDT (six terminals). Thats the back of the toggle switch on the LH side in the diagrams. With the dual coil wiring, the tone control is in the circuit all the time, with the single coil hookup, the toggle switch kicks it out of the circuit. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
