Thanks for posting ..I enjoyed that for several reasons
I am a big fan of the National cast steels...the 1935 with matching amp looked great
The animals sounds etc can still be learned...I believe Mike Neer has an E-book available called "The Magic Guitarist" that instructs how to make these unique sounds....maybe I should pick up a copy
Finally, I chuckled thinking this video shows the " original melobar"....who knew all that was required was a piece of string |

Thanks for sharing this. I've been playing in a rock and roll band, and sometimes the singer will 'Throw me to the wolves' ("....with his amazing steel guitar!") or break a string. I usually fall back on a similar routine. People love it.
I have often wondered why my Cast Aluminium Dobro has a strap button on the bottom. I'm gonna have to tie a string on it and see how it hangs now! |
