My sale of this guitar has fallen through, so it is available again.
ZUM SD-1046905
Serial number indicates 4&6, however I talked to Bruce and he told me that the serial numbers were stamped on the end plates before chroming, early in production, and that many buyers changed their order before or during assembly. I don't see where the sixth lever would have been, so I believe this to be the case.
This guitar belonged to Jack Smith who had a gospel recording studio, played with the Happy Goodman family and several country stars.
The guitar is set up Emmons style (ABC), 0 pedal lowers 5&6 a whole tone. E raise is LKL, E lower is RKL.
Trutone pickup (I think)
Has a scratch on front apron between pedal 0 & A, and a nick in the top chrome strip of the front apron at about fret 22.
$3,200 plus shipping.

Rex,
I traded a Sho-Bud, with the Marrs/Surratt conversion, for the guitar with the intention of selling it, thinking that it would be easier to sell.
I'm trying to thin the herd. My next sales project is old cars.
You don't need a guitar do you?

Rick;
I am like you , I have too many and I got one of Bruce's guitars like that one right before he quit building them or I would buy yours.. Best of luck on your sale, I know it has to be a great guitar. |
