Ricky, this is fantastic news!! Eliminating friction on that part of the finger would certainly change things dramatically!! I made wear bars for the fingers on my guitar where that bearing hits. It's worked great but this bearing is incredable!! I'm sure though something like this would cost a fortune. I was always going to change mine out for the aluminum ones Bobbe had but man I'm glad I waited. Now I have to find out some more about these critters. Got more info, let's hear it!! Loren. |

John great part.
Did you get my RKR lever bracket pics email?
How mauch are the triple doubles for a '81 Pro-II?
Ricky will this lower the G#'s to G better too?
Is this like the cross between
Super Session and Badfinger?[This message was edited by David L. Donald on 03 June 2005 at 07:25 AM.] |

David; I never tried lowering the 3rd string G# to G on the e9 neck; so don't know. Of course this finger lowers the 6th string G# to F# NO problem. And Murph did have a high G on the c6th neck and lowered it a half tone to F# and noticed on this superfinger; that it was less movement to do it than the original finger; so if that answers your question> cool.

This past week I got the CAD drawings and the DXF files done for the "Super Fingers" so my friend with the CNC Laser machine can start cutting them out. He is going to start on them this Monday. They will be avaible in double raise / double lower and triple raise / double lower. Chromed, of course! The price of these will be $ 225.00 for a set of 10 exchanged for your old ones. I know this sounds high, but that precision stainless ball bearing costs $ 9.50 each. When I get them back from the platers I will post pictures of them on the Forum. Finally, you don't have to put up with all that wear and friction any more !!! Ricky , could you please repost those pictures? Thanks. John Coop |

John; I'm sorry, I've been having serious computer problems and lost those pictures. If you send them to me; I may be able to again; but no guarentees; as I'm working from several different>all damaged> computers right now...ha....Your best bet is someone with something more reliable; till I get up and going again. Or don't you have a site that all your pictures are on??? I can image over to here if you do???
Anyway....I am so proud of you my friend for making such wonderful parts for the best steel guitar in history...ah....ha...and the SuPER FINGER is the most wonderful thing I've seen and played man.
