My unit was working fine until I didn't use for almost 2 yrs...took it out & used it for a few days until I lost output volume,on & off for a couple days, like some one physically turned the output knob off, then nothing...local tech says everything works up to the output...battery needed a bit of cleanup, but that didn't help...so not woth the labour to find problem & perhaps not find the parts. _________________ Franklin #130, Melobar Skreemer, Wechter Scheerhorn Resonator, Nashville 112, Boss DD 3 |

If the battery was corroded, very good chance it damaged the printed circuit board. Could very well be the source of the problem. Depending on damage on whether the board can be repaired. |

My battery had corroded, Ken took care of it. But true if the board is damaged he may not be able to fix it. Can't find out if you don't get it to him.
We don't know that is the problem. _________________ Zum D10 |

More often than not the ones I repair have this issue. The output mute section is stuck on. I have to pull the board top and bottom covers, clean the front and back of the board with a toothbrush, water and baking soda. Dry completely after that and test again. Sometime it requires several cleanings and other parts replaced, such as the 10k and 1 meg resistor near the battery |
