I have a chance to purchase a Profex...not Profex II. Will I be happy with this? My ProfexII is no longer working. I don't use the cache card settings. I'm guessing they are the same other than the card slot

I have a Profex II and no experience with the other but I would download the manual from Peavey and make comparisons. Hopefully someone on here has owned both and will chime in. Good luck.

A few differences in the presets and parameters and of course no card reader but they are just as good as the profex 2 units. Direct plug instead of the walwart if memory serves me correctly. I was perfectly fine with the one I used to have.

Be sure that you check to see if the battery is OK before purchasing.

What Mike said, check the battery! I have a ProFex I hadn't used for a couple years and went to use it the other day and it booted up fine with good screen but presets were gone. Attempted reinitialization to no avail. Ken Fox replied that even though the battery looks good visually, it may have leaked onto two very fine traces under the board.
