It was a beautiful, windy, Oct day that resulted in a marvelous turnout for our Oct Jam Session.
We had a total of 9 players: A new addition to the group was Terry Vick from Olathe, KS who also sang and plays drums, Bobby Garrett who sang a song, Mike Squires who also sang for us, Steve Melchi, another new player was Rick Eaves of Maple Grove, MO, Eddie Lane who sang harmony a couple times, Jerry Smythe, Marty Neer, and David Dean White.
The band included: Buddy Lewis who also provides the sound system for us, Russ Burns and a new association member Gary Perkins of Nixa, MO who sat in on bass to give Buddy a break, and Terry Vick who sat in for Russ Burns while Russ took a break.
Singers for the day were Cathy Smeenks(Association Secretary), Sheena Beauchamp(Association Photographer), Buddy Lewis, Eddie Lane, Bobby Garrett, Terry Vick, and Mike Squires.
We had a great crowd of about 24. Thanks for attending and hope you enjoyed the afternoon. Without the audience to cheer them on, the players and singers would have no reason to attend. Thanks to all the ones who provided the marvelous food for the mid-afternoon break. Thanks to Charlie & Rosemary, Terry, Cathy, Sheena, and all who helped to put on these fabulous Sunday jam sessions. Thanks to the Stone Castle Hotel & Convention Center for a beautiful venue, and for providing the water, coffee & accessories.
Our next jam session will be included in with our Christmas party on Dec 10th, 1-5 pm in the large meeting room of the Stone Castle Hotel & Convention Center. Hope to see you all there. Until then,
