Saw this old steel guitar at a local music store. 10 strings, 3 pedals, cable operated mechanism, one knee lever. Tag says "Sho-Bud 6152."
Tuning pan has "Sho-Bud" inscription, but looks like Fender to my eye. It looked pretty clean, but I didn't get a chance to play it.

Yep looks like someone took the crappy plastic covering off a later series maverick. |

Thanks, guys. Ha, ha... everyone talks about these, but I had never seen one.
Did they make any of them with more than one knee lever? |

That is the original crappy plastic (vinyl?) cover (my very first steel; I remember it fondly). They only made them with one knee, but I've seen many with knees added, although these are usually the earlier maple-finished Mavericks, which may have had slightly more room underneath. |

You're correct Dan, my vision is crappier than the plastic , I thought it was gone until you mentioned it wasn't. I had to zoom in firefox to see it was there..duh. |

A Maverick with cables?
It looks like a parts special to me. Home built. _________________ No chops, but great tone

That looks more like "coat hanger" wire than cable. Which is the standard _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects |

It's a stock Maverick with rods, no cables. _________________ <b>Rick Johnson Cabinets<b>

Sho Bud Maverick. Had two of them over the years. Used them for practice guitars only. I used to leave them where ever I was rehearsing. Saved having to move and leave a expensive guitar sit out of my sight. |
