I am looking for a few E clips that hold a rod to the bellcrank on a LeGrande.
I think they are 7/64 size but I am not sure.
Where would I look for them retail around Austin ? Auto parts store ? Hardware store ? I don't think Home Depot has the right size.
Those little dinguses disappear real good....
If I call around before I head out should I just ask if they have 7/64 E clips in stock ?
Thanks ! _________________ Bob |

They have them at Ace Hardware with all of the screws, washers, and all of the oddball fittings usually in the back of the store. |

When you go to purchase E Clips from a local hardware or auto supply store take a Micrometer or Dial Caliper with you to check the thickness. I have found 3 or 4 different E Clips for sale, That to the eye look as if they will fit. But all I have found are .020 or .025 thick. The actual Emmons E-Clips measure .015 thick.
The slots I have checked on original Emmons rods is .018. wide. |

I'm picking up a pack of them from Grainger on weds. No shipping cost if I pick them up.
They should be the right ones.
I really appreciate the help. _________________ Bob |
