Hi, Can you write some of whats going on behind the changer? Is the body cracked and covered up with a piece of aluminum or is that something different I've never seen before... Thanks

Mike

Mike,

I have never taken those off. They were on there when I got the guitar. I will pull them off and see what is there.

Mike,

There are no cracks under the metal. Just a layer of RTV, holding the metal in place. Its a mess now since I took the metal pieces off for the pictures. I have no idea why they are there. The metal is not home made, it looks like it was machined.

May they are there to prevent cracks.

Very odd huh. Those guitars regularly crack behind the changers so I figured it was to hide cracks. Thanks for the info

Thinking about this more, I think you are absolutely correct about preventing cracks. Make total since to me. I've seen mica PP cracked too so this is nothing out of the ordinary at all. One things for sure it looks factory. I personally would not have one worry over it in the least. GLWS, very nice guitar at a fair price IMHO.
