A most Happy Birthday, Lloyd. Thank you for decades of inspiration and great music..!! Also, for great memories... like being in the studio and watching you and the other players formulate and lay-down "Farewell Party" in one take with less than 10 minutes remaining on the session clock...!!! Very cool, I'll never forget that.
Sincerely,
Chris "Tiny" Olson |

On Wednesday September 27th The Country Music Hall of Fame hosted a memorial for Country Music Hall of Fame Member Don Williams. During the ceremony - Ricky Skaggs and Sharon and Cheryl White sang "Lord I Hope This Day is Good" with Lloyd Green on steel guitar. Ricky - Sharon and Cheryl sang and then Lloyd played the turnaround. Ricky became so engrossed in Lloyd's playing he forgot to come back in. Later - backstage - Ricky said (as a way of explanation) "He blew my mind!" |

Happy Birthday Lloyd! I used to work for the late Jerry Brightman at Performance Guitars. One day I was putting together a guitar, and Jerry called me into his office saying I had a phone call. Well,,,, I hadn't given anyone the number! Jerry knew that you were my inspiration to play steel, and he called you, and the put me on the phone. I was flabberghasted. It was you! We had a nice long conversation about Fingertips, as I'd just gotten my first one. It was so wonderful to talk to you! Thanks for taking the time to talk to me! _________________ Dr. Z Surgical Steel amp, amazing!
