I see some players from Washington post from time to time. I know there are at least a few who are very good players that I would love to hear live and watch up close. Any thoughts of having a Washington jam? |

I'm just starting out but would love to attend if something were organized. |

Hi Joe, there already is a WA jam of sorts, happens in Portland twice a year and is run by Larry Behm, Usually about 30 guys and a ton of fun. It's currently on hiatus while the venue undergoes radical remodeling. Next jam is hopefully in November or December 2017.
Do a members search for Larry, then send him a Private Message or email for more info.
All levels participate, from raw beginners to seasoned professionals. We look forward to meeting you.
If you need any help with E9, I'm available for help, live or via Skype.
All best,

Thanks John. You are one of the players I was talking about in my post. I will check it out with Larry. I was hoping for one a little closer to Seattle but Portland isn't too far. It would be fun to be a part of. |

You can get a lot of ideas, inspiration, and sometimes depression by listening to a bunch of other players. Hope you'll join the fray, Joe. If nothing else, it's a gas to check out gear!
If you're relatively new to pedal steel and like an organized approach, that's my specialty (E9 only). Email me sometime for complete info, see if my teaching (if you need it) suits you.
