For all you Fender Bassman lovers, here is another Bassman I just finished up for a local player here in Nashville. This was a complete gut job as the original looked like someone took an axe to it!
The circuit is the famous AA864 in the center channel and my British Marshall-Esque Left channel mod. I also added a mid-range control where the old ground switch was(useless)
Original trannies, chassis, and face-plate were used. I also use .047uF coupling caps instead of the .1s in the power section to rid the flabby Bass response and tighten it up some.
These are great as heads or combos, and are very good with your pedals. Anyway... There it is

I've started a Bassman build for my wife. Since it will be used for bass, I'm building a Bassman 10/ Bassman 100 circuit, (without the extra gain stage). |

Nice! I have built well over a 100 of the things and I really like them for what they are. Good news is they are pretty straight forward circuit. Put up some pics when you get into it

Nice! I really like the clean - and correctly routed/crossing lead dress. I see far too many with plate/signal wires running together, lousy angles and way too much wire!
What do you use for filter caps?

Hey Thanks Jim,
Lead dress is very over looked by DYI builders but then again we were all new once upon a time right...
Filter caps are F&Ts. Normal setup and dropping resistors too which I ALWAYS replace...
4 - 22uF/450v
2 - 100uF/350v
