Cecil Johnson passed away yesterday (9-21-17) He had been in failing health for awhile. Visitation Sunday 2-4PM at Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Ave., Ft. Worth,TX 76135. Funeral Monday 9-25-17 at 11AM at Lakeside Baptist Church, Burial at Jaybird Cemetery. Cecil was a great steel player, singer and a friend to all. RIP Brother

I am sorry Cecil has passed. I had tried to call him a couple times lately but got no answer. His steel sounded so good and he was a super nice guy.

This is terrible news. Cecil was a friend since 1968. Rest well my friend.

My condolences to his family. Cecil was an encourager and friend to me. One of first players Steve Lamb introduced me when I started..RIP Cecil
