The only 8-string pre-war Fry Pan, a bogus guitar or a prototype? Enquiring minds want to know! http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1482225530

It looks like it was a 7 string originally, I just saw an original 1935 7-string at the Hawaiian exibition at the Fullerton Museum.

It sure looks exactly like my 6 string model! I'm sure that it is a Rickenbacker that has been simply butchered from a 7 to 8 string. It would be a nice guitar to have for whoever buys it.
