I am looking to buy another Dobro. I now own a Galveston with a square neck. Since I play pedal steel, I will be using my new guitar to play with a bar and not fret it using my fingers. Can anyone out there tell me which type of neck will be best for me? I am considering either a Johnson or a Regal.

If you are only going to play it with a slide, get a square neck. Round neck strings are close to the fretboard and are meant to be played with the fingers, ala regular guitar.
