Great vid Mickey. I ordered one just like it (9x5) on 8/24 in the tobacco sunburst - it caught my eye and wouldn't let go haha. I don't think I ordered the underlight, but otherwise, I got to see you demonstrate my guit for me! I was wondering about the pups: I guess you get them wired (or not wired as it may be) from MSA right - so they slip right in? Maybe in Feb. we can skype those lessons we talked about. |

Yea Mickey, I would have to agree with that. I would also agree that ALL those founders would be very proud of the MSA as well
Very nice presentation for sure!

Started playing some 40 years ago with a Sidekick and had a nice Classic SS along the way so I do have a very soft place in my heart for MSA. Mabey again down the road....difference in the dollar is a killer though! |

Mickey, you have created more buzz around MSA guitars than I've seen since I first joined the forum! Good on ya', mate! I've been playing MSA's for a few years now, but "old school" ones.... haha! The Millenniums! Well, life in the tropics is hard on a pedal steel. Those carbon bodies just seem the ideal solution for me.
As an aside, while I do love the quick-change pickups, I suggest making a regular habit of removing them and putting them back. I had some get stuck in one of my Millies - the moist, salty air of life on a tropical island! I think maybe some teflon spray or other such dry lubricant that is extra slick might help. I've been running Alumitones in the E9 neck and Tone Aligners in the C6.
Also cool to see you using a Li'l Izzy - how about checking my theory that it does not do as much with Alumitones as with other pickups. At least, that's what I seemed to have heard when playing around with mine.
So welcome aboard the MSA crew! _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |

Is there a price list for the cost of pickups for the slide in system? _________________ Steel Guitar Services:

Great work, Mickey!
...I definitely don't need (nor deserve) another pedal steel guitar, but it's getting very hard to resist these modern MSAs, especially at today's exchange rates... Beautiful engineering. |

Mickey, in one pic with the changer out, your guitar has a kind of claw looking arrangement at the front of the changer hole. What's that for? Shaft support? |

Welcome to the Dark Side Mickey ! You know that it'll never sound as great as a P/P and it'll be dark because that's the way Reece and Curly's guitars sounded...

409, 710, 10-1.... Dark? Really? Hmmm.
But I would like to hear it without the L'il Izzy a time or 2.
When is the Steel Guitar Nashville thing happening? Or has it happened already? Did I miss you mentioning when on YouTube? |

Great demo Mickey, your the first to demonstrate 7 great pickups all on one video using your new MSA D-10.
After listing to all 7 pickups I have decided my choice of pickups are all 7. Just can't make up my mind, so what the heck if I had it my way I buy all 7 and use each pickup for each & everyday of the week.
Lets see, Sunday will be the Tectonics 409, Monday the xr16 etc., etc.,
Thanks a million for the show, love that MSA

Thats perhaps the nicest pedal steel ever. All the new features only available on it are just brilliant! Pop out a pickup and slap another in like its a cartridge or something, wow! You're right too, they ALL sounded great in there. Im fond of the X15 and Trutone especially. Your consistently great playing is something too! Wonderful stuff. |
