A PSG Palientologist is what Mark has become. Interesting reveal of an exchange of relevant details about this rare D-10, and the corporate mindset of Fender, back then. PLUS: a cool exchange of threads between principal characters on this Forum, when bOb
was Bobby Lee, and that wicked mind of Bobbe Seymour was ever-present. Great stuff!
Don't miss out if you want something "that has that Zing"

The Nashville Steel Pro is a true sleeper amp. Possibly low production numbers left it undiscovered. To my ears it defines the pedal steel sound. Most who own one wouldn't consider selling. Usually if one is on the market it is because the owner no longer plays. That would be the only way my two would get on the market. Haven't played through a JBL but the Altec is really sweet.

I bought a Nashville Pro-Steel amp from Duane Marrs almost 40 years ago. Mine came with an Altec speaker. Its a great sounding amp but I did have problems with the reverb. Replaced the tank and eventually stopped using it. It has an EV speaker in it now but the reverb still needs work. To me, even with the reverb issue, it's the best amp I ever had. I just might take it to my amp tech and start using it again.

There used to be an S-10 guitar like this at the Buckaroo club in Anchorage Alaska,The club owner bought the "House Guitar" so bands wouldn't have to bring their guitar, and save on baggage,I was playing there on Monday night's and played many hours on the guitar,Yes it was built by Sho- Bud for Fender,After the cub owner passed the steel guitar disappeared?

Steve,From what I remember it was a very nice playing guitar great pedal action,I always wondered what happened to the one in Anchorage,Not like there's a lot of steel guitar players.

Hi Frank !
I dunno? Who's Rainer? It was part of an estate of a guy who had a recording studio just outside of Minneapolis.

aesthetically it's a real beauty, a survivor, worth every penny.

Not long ago I had a wood body S10 Artist , a very nice player , a tad brighter than the stock Pro 1 Sho Bud using the same parts. Excellent sustain.

Lots of Steel Guitar and Sho Bud history right here.

Whats not to like ?

I have the student model of this series. Great sound!! unlike any other! Very cool to see the Artist D-10 Pro i've only seen another in black like mine, the burgundy finish is killer! very pretty. All later sho bud model parts on these guitars just says Fender and also a Fender/Shobud hybrid pickup model.
