I have watched this one a few times. Curly Chalmers was certainly an awesome picker. |

That's the clip that Curley had to move something on his steel in a hurry, lol.m guessing it was cigarettes and lighter probably. Curley was an awesome picker. _________________ Henry Matthews

The link David Wright posted is to my all time favorite Curly LP. Actually one of my favorite Steel guitar Lp's of all time. I felt his tone and execution was better there than on any of the following LP's. Not my intent to start an argument. Only stating my opinion.

Bobby I totally agree with you.
You may be very surprised to know that Curly used a Fender 2000 PSG on "Big Hits On Big Steel".
The album photo was taken later, after Curly acquired a
Sho-Bud Guitar.

Thanks Roger but I knew that. But I'm sure many others don't. The playing was scary good for 1966. Again one of my favorite LP's. |
