Learned this years ago on guitar. Another canceled outdoor Jersey Shore gig tonight (weather has been lousy this season!) and trying to make lemonade out of lemons. Did a quick backing track and learned melody on steel. Translates really nice to pedal steel. Maybe Sco's a closet steeler?!

Marc, I was thinking the song you were talking about might be "Best Western". Nice playing, I always thought that song would sound good on a pedal steel and you really captured its essence. Thanks for posting it. I got to see John Scofield a couple of years ago. I went up to him afterwards and told him I'd been listening to him for a long time, since the "Electric Outlet" album, and he responded with, "wow, you really have been listening to me for a long time". Me and my friend Wes Howard got a picture with him, I'm the one on the left. It was a cool night.

Thanks but you may be confusing "bite" with mistakes! |

Nice job on Best Western. I love Electric Outlet. Sco's bass playing is pretty cool, too.
Sco is my favorite guitar player. He connect all the dots for me in music I love: blues, jazz, rock and roll, even some country. He and Ry do that for me. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |
