I have a sho bud compactra. They were made by Evans before Evans was a company. Basically hand made. I think it's 50 watts. They had crazy big cabinets, often with tuck and roll sparkly fabric. I think Evans made them for sho bud from around '64-'68 or so but could be wrong about how long they were around. If you YouTube "waltz across Texas" there is a great clip of The troubadours with Buddy Charleton playing an Emmons through a gold one. They have nice Hammond reverb. They don't seem to fetch much - I think usually between $500-$750. I think I paid $350 for mine. I like 'em! _________________ Mostly Pre-1970 guitars. |
