The new album by my collaborative project Kinbom & Kessner is released today on Sotones Records!
Here is a (new, with mastered audio, and a bit more music) video trailer, focused on the lap steel aspects of the record:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CV0KJE3lwE8
I hope some of you will enjoy it (it ain't "Sleepwalk").
The steels and tunings I used on the album were my 1937 National New Yorker and my Lap King Rodeo with Lollar Charlie Christians, both in A-C#-E-A-C#-E tuning, and my other Rodeo (with a Lollar Humbucker in the neck position) in G-minor (often played with an Ebow). The colorful, excellent tonebars are made by Michael Hillman.
Those who would like to buy the album on LP or CD can do so here:

There is also more info about the project on the website, and notes on the songs with non-English lyrics:

Digital downloads are available from iTunes and the other digital platforms.
Thanks for listening!

Sounds good, that haunting Kinbom sound. Now you can use your new homemade one too. |

A black trash bag slid across the road. stopping and moving, like there was a mouse in it.
-That happened while i was listening to track 4.
There is no way to appreciate this album with a mere description. Ethereal? Timeless, buddhist, straight out facts of life, and, death..
High quality production like all of Fred's works.
Still on his path, ever going forward or backward.
It's going to take many listens to get it all in.
Excellent glimpse at I know not what, and beautiful |

Very Etheral approach you have stocked to over the years. Much like Susan Alcorn. That's the great thing about music such variety keep it up.
Good luck with the album. _________________ Stefan

I'm not much for adjectives, but I am really into this. Listening on Google play now.
Good to see the steel played differently. |

I agree, adjectives don't do it. What happens when you get to the end? The music takes off in a different direction.
Just beautiful, and each sample makes you want more of that--then it changes. Not a style, but good songs on their own. Solid.
Appreciate the full cut of With the Beetles. Seductive, if I may adjectate. |
