a few years back I did a recording session for a local guy who owns a tattoo shop here in Boston. One of his employee's also plays steel and did my tattoo. Just thought it oughta be shared here on the forum.
Its a good reminder to practice also Smile its still healing, just got it a week ago

Hi Karen, yes, if you come out this way let me know. Great to hear that you're still playing. I'm having a busy summer too.

Hi Karen, Your thread title said, "I got an Emmons tattoo!" I was expecting a portrait of Buddy`s face. I love your tattoo. Why don`t you wear short sleeves at the October 28th RISGA steel show so the audience can enjoy it. Doug Beaumier, my good buddy, come and play at that same show. Hopefully Karen will perswade you to perform for us.

Karen, this brings up many questions. It looks like an S-10, at first glance. What's the scale? Push/Pull? What are you using on your changer fingers, Oil of Olay?

Yesterday I played a private party in New Hampshire and a guy there was checking out my Emmons. He was most interested in the "atomic" fret markers! I told him that the guitar was designed in the early 1960s and there was a "space race" going on at the time... manned space flight was all the rage. And don't forget the Jetsons! That was my history lesson for the day. It may or may not be true, but it sounds good.
