Mike: It's on the news stands now. You'll need to buy the magazine. Unless it's on line at the GP web site, or on the Dr Z web site.

OK, time for me to be the bad guy.

They gave it a great review. They had no complaints. It got an editors pick award.

So how could they at GP screw it up? I have been reading this magazine for over 40 years, and it seems like the past 5-10 years they sink lower with every passing month. I knew how before I even read the review, and they didn't let me down. Think about it.

It was designed for..........steel guitar.
The manufacturer specifically states it was intended for........steel guitar.
In the review, the reviewer spells out that it was designed for..........steel guitar.

Figure it out yet?

Yep. They didn't plug in a steel guitar.

Now, I understand that there is a camp out there that wants loud clean tube power, and they get all of their effects from pedals. Part of these people are probably chasing the SRV Dumble Steel String Singer tone of a loud clean amp. They reviewed the amp from exactly that perspective, and gave it a thumbs up perfect 10.

But for the purposes of this web site/forum, I'm not sure that they really answered our question. Which is: How does it perform with a...............steel guitar?

Performs very well with a steel guitar. Couldn't get any simpler, volume, mid, treble and bass controls. One input, tube effects loop and. 4, 8 and 16 ohm speaker output jacks.

I am using the PF 350 watt speaker. I know, heavy but this rig shines so screw the hernia it's worth it.
