I have been contacted by a future lap steeler in Sioux Falls, SD. for a instructor. Here in Iowa, we have a strong Jumpstart Program with several instructors throughout the Midwest, but our weekness is the area this lad hails from. I would like to be able to find him a instructor and soon. We can't let this lad go to long without some sort of support. PLease help me find a instructor for him and contact me thru my email. Guitarman@cfu.net or post it here and I'll keep checking. Thank you guys.

Roger,
Good luck with your search; someone from your Iowa program posted around a year ago (perhaps you?). I'm about an hour north of Sioux Falls on I-29; interested in steel guitar history, but I don't play. I can't think of any steel-players in the area at the moment; if I do, I will let you know. BTW, I taught Theory and Exploring Music two fall semesters-in-a-row, as a sabbatical-replacement @UNI, fall 1985 and 1986. Nice city there in Cedar Falls. |

I would like to thank you Dick for telling me about Don. I visited with him today and really enjoyed our visit. He is in contact with the student and there is no doubt, Don will take care of this student. Thank you again Dick for the info. |
