i think that he got the names backwards but thanks for posting. mine is on the bottom. it used to be brown. what a change. does anyone know if the value goes up or what would it be worth after it is complete. thanks guys

sure is a great looking SHO~BUD..Are those True tones? hard to make out in the pic.

thanks larry i put new truetones on it new legs, new wiring and switches, i have new fretboards coming from tom bradshaw. all of the polishing has been done. i'm going to make a new sho-bud body next. i wonder what a new one finished in stain and lacquer would be worth hummm

MAN,now ya'll got me stareing at old brown!wonder if i could sand blast it first??get the brown off!!man these old buds are gonna live forever!!can't be beat!!!great job guys

farris you can do it i know that you can.since that you are a machinest what is the best set up for polishing the alunimun? what motor and arbor, pad etc.

HA Hey Robert,i hope you know i was joking!!now i'm no pro,but i built a arbor several yrs.ago,put a pulley on one end and plenty of threads on the other end.i stack 12" cotton buffing pads on it,i think i got about 8 or 10 on it.my spindle speed is pretty slow.got to be careful,those things will grab,and throw your parts accross the house,and those dents are hard to get out.wish i knew more about it!i try different rouges,ect.man i love it,but its hard work,and the wife won't hardly know you when you go home at night!!haha,dirty work. farris
