Got to meet Al (Boo) Miller last night in Sweetwater, Tx. He wasn't playing, but a prince of a guy. Really enjoying getting to visit with him. |

Just did a gig a couple weeks ago with Boo. He was on pedals, me on non-pedals. The cat can pick, no lie. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

In this particular situation, he was just helping a friend sell a PA system, But a finer fellar I have rarely met. We opened for Tommy Alverson and Boo was very complimentary. So glad I got to meet him. Tommy's subbing steel player was Bobby Hearn and he was a good picker and also fun to visit with. A good night for me. |

Boo is a great guy and a great player. He gave me a few lessons back in the 90's when we were both living in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Super nice guy. I saw and got to talk to him at the Dallas show last year.
Here is Boo with Leona Williams.

I used to spend some summers in ardmore, back in the 60's. a guy was building electric guitars, next door to my uncle, but, I never met boo miller.
wish I had'da though!
wish I could remember the guitar builders name. one day, some famous guitar picker was there. but, I can't remember him either.
is the memory still the first thing that goes?
