Someone gave this to me years ago. It was in a pile of vinyl without jackets, liners etc. so it's playable but full of skips, pops etc. as you might imagine.
Still, I might be able to turn this iconic disc into some form of art somehow.
Notice how Together Again is on side 2. I just found that amusing. Maybe some of you will get a kick out of seeing this.

Release Date July 20, 1964
I was a month away from 11 years old and we played the hell out of that LP from Christmas 1964 onward.... _________________ Lawyers are done: Emmons SD-10, 3 Dekleys including a D10, NV400, and lots of effects units to cover my clams... |

Frame it, in a frame that is double-sided, really cool!
My wife has been playing Dwight Yoakum's version of 'close up the honky tonks' over and over, Buck was the best! _________________ Regards, Craig

"Together Again" was the "B" side of the 45 released with "My Heart Skips A Beat" as the "A" side.
Skips a Beat was released in May 1964 and was the #1 country song for the 3 weeks of May 16 to 30, ending on June 6, when Together Again took over the #1 spot for the two weeks June 6 to June 13, ending on June 20.
Skips A Beat then took over #1 again for another 4 weeks, ending on July 18.
Skips A Beat #1 for 7 weeks, Together Again #1 for 2 weeks, probably why Together Again was on side 2 of the LP.
All information here is from Billboards #1 Country Hits of 1964. _________________ Rebel |

Buck gathered the guys and families in his living room before guys left town and let us hear the recordings before it was released this one time. Buck loved My Heart Skips a Beat and said it should be A side. And I spoke up and said Together Again should be A side and will be the biggest hit ever. Buck laughed and said no that wont happen. Well...............!!! _________________ Rolene Brumley |

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Thanks Rolene for that history! What an experience it must have been for all of you during this time. History was made for sure. |

Somehow I missed some of these posts. Thanks Graham for the Billboard info. Anyway, I may just frame it and hang it in my music room like Craig suggested...or pass it on if someone closer to it would like it for sentimental reasons etc. |
