Here is another vid that I shot by laying my phone on the floor in front of my amp...lap seems louder than the band in this position, but it captures the lap sound of the 1st time playing the prototype live.

Headed into the final stages, I think I have found the final fretboard diredtion. Going with a aluminum sheet, powder coated in black, then laser cut to show frets & markings.

Good looking steel, good looking kids. You must be livin' right! If you don't mind me asking, what's the price point? You can send me a message if you don't want to post it publicly.

Interesting question Ron...I think we could do a left handed model.
Also, I am crunching numbers now...I will decide on the price very soon. With the goal of every one being the same quality as the prototype, same feel and sound in the production, I want to get this right.

With 3 of the V-MUSE Model One lap steels already finding homes, it's time to go back to work. Time to spread the word...

Needless to say, I had a great time spending the day yesterday with Jerry Douglas. Got to talk with him about laps & dobros, take in soundcheck, and show him my new lap. Such a nice guy...and yeah, he loved the Model One.

The first two customers for the Model One numbers 001 & 002 taken care of and happy. Gary & Tony, thanks you two.

...and, a new batch of Mahogany in. Enough for about 20 plus lap steels.

Blues legend Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin checking out a V-MUSE Model One lap steel at the Carolina Blues Festival. Bob played with Muddy Waters back in the day.

Bob sat in with Seth Williams & I at the festival.

I displayed a few of my V-MUSE laps at a festival I put on here in NC this past weekend, & got lucky enough to sell another one. This lap steel designer/builder thing is a lot of fun.

Hat's off, Terry. Looks and sounds great. Good design and the National-style head is a nice touch.

Entering into new ground in the lap steel experience. Placed the first lap in a music store here in NC. Still having fun with it...
