Here is the opening of Jay Dee's solo on "Rainbows All Over Your Blues" from his solo album, and the Buddy Emmons tribute.

This is a killer musical line from one of the all time great players.
I was able to find the notes relatively fast, but I spend a very long time trying different fingerings to make this work.
I'll post my tab.
I'm curious to hear from other players, how you would finger this? Are some of you familiar with Jay Dee's fingerings?
JayDee makes great use of strings 1 and 2 in combination with strings 3 and 4 in the chromatic part of the lick.

HI John, that looks good. I think he might have done some things 2 frets lower in the 3rd bar and the start of the 4th bar like this:
