This Gibson Console Grande is in great shape for its age. The wood and binding edges have no problems. Tuners and chrome legs are in great shape. Pickups and pots all work.
All in all it's a great guitar that plays well and sounds great. I'm asking $1,700 plus shipping (probably $150). Lower 48 states only.
Here are a few items about the instrument:
The volume and tone knobs are not original - missing when I purchased it.
There are only two bridge covers. I took them off but have them. I prefer playing without them.
The tuners are all in great shape with the exception that the front neck tuner has two small holes where a previous owner evidently drilled to add a pedal to pull a string. You can see on the bottom of the guitar the outline of where the apparatus was installed but very little "damage" was done. You have to look to notice the holes in the tuners.
Happy to answer questions - just send a PM.

Thanks, Larry. I'm glad you're enjoying the Rickenbacker. This Gibson is one of my favorites. Someone on the forum once told me there were less than 100 built. |

Per the Duchossoir book there were 98 sunburst Console Grandes shipped between 1951 and 1956, and 17 natural finish (blonde) models shipped between 1953 and 1956. |
