Sweet looking guitar, Johnie. I like the chrome mounting ring with the black pup, but a palm rest is handy . . . . 60/40 for without. On the techie side - does the metal palm rest affect the sound or sustain at all? _________________ David K |

With, but with a Valco Supro unit where the palm rest has a second function & enhances the magnetic field.

No palm rest.
Palm block between notes and when palm is at rest it also removes hum and keeps your steel silent. _________________ Stefan

Leave it, but don't use it as a rest.
Palm blocking is inherently quieter, less intrusive than pick blocking, at least for the average player.
Joe Wright had (may still) some lessons online, some of which were on pick blocking, but he is exceptional.
...anybody who makes it through his lessons will also be exceptional.
Speaking about lessons, are there any new lessons coming out for the Slideking with the Edge? |
