I've located a couple of pedals for my 1972 6139 Sho-Bud and have a WTB ad for the rack parts.
Does anyone know of a 3rd party that makes (or made) replacement racks for the Sho-Bud Rack & Barrel system?
Thanks! _________________ Tony

Thanks Rick. I looked at PSG. They have the rods and barrels that I will need but I did not see the bell cranks or the dual guides that the rod & barrel system needs.

I spoke to Michael a couple of weeks ago about adding knee levers to my rack & barrel Sho-Bud. He's working on a knee lever kit for the rack & barrel Sho-Bud but it will not be available for some months, if ever. Some of the pedal parts are the same as the knee lever parts so I think that they are in the same boat.
I've sent Michael an email and hopefully he has them or can make them - at some time.
In the mean time, I am looking at all possible sources for these parts. _________________ Tony

I'm under the impression that two-hole pullers and cross-shafts, from the next generation of Buds, are compatible with racks, and will also be noticeably lighter. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Hey all, I wanted to bring this post back to the surface because I am looking for rack parts for my Fender S10 3x1 student model, which currently has no pedals, pull rods or a rack. I can probably find good pedals, and Michael from psgparts.com said he could provide rods and quick connects. I'm also being told that ShoBud parts might work for this model, as Fender seemed to partner with ShoBud on this.
So, Justin, I know it's been a few years, but do you still have those boxes of rack and barrel stuff? |

I don't think the Maverick or the Fender/Sho~Bud ever used the rack & barrel system.

Liam, I think you are looking for a pedal bar[rack] and floor pedals.
This topic is about the rack and barrel string pulling system mechanics for the underside of the guitar. The rack being the stationary stop part that the pull rod/barrel contacts when pedal or knee is actuated. That is what is being discussed here.
