I don't know what else to call it. I finally have made some real progress on my E9/B6 Uni. After 3 months of getting nowhere on E9 I decided to try out the B6 side of my uni and lo and behold this thing makes music!! Coming from a strong jazz and blues background I could never make much sense of the country side, at least until now. All of a sudden after about 2 weeks of B6 study the whole axe is making sense fro a change.

I can learn a song on the 6th side and also move it to the 9th side without too much trouble. Mind you these are still simple songs but I feel like a breakthrough has been made in my playing.

I just needed to go WAHOOOO for a minute. Now back to the real steel players..

Bravo, it is these little moments that give one BIG encouragement.

I am unusual in that I started with a D-10 playing C6,
and evenetually got around to the E9 neck...
Well the neck was there...
And finally modified it to be more jazzy yet still E9
Well E69 now..

Now I am movinng to a S-14, and see how that goes.

But I agree the B6 is a cool and in many ways very logical tuning,
once it hits you.. WHAM good things start happening.
