This probably sounds like a lame question, but being new to the forum, I'd like to know about the MIX of pro and non-pro players we have here. I'd like to know who of us are out there playing for a living. It's really encouraging to me when I meet someone who has taken this talent to a commercial level. Also, a different question ...

I played (many years ago) out on gigs when I BARELY knew the difference from a pedal and a knee lever. Haven't done that in many years, but I know the hassels and challenges of being a road warrior in the music business. My question.. how does RECORDING differ from being on the road? Easier? More Demanding? Thanks for your input!

I moved this to "Steel Players" because it's more about people than it is about the instrument.
