What type of slide is Billy Robinson using in this video? It is white, plastic maybe?

Also, he's playing a non-pedal 10 string. Who made it and what tunings are used? _________________ Tony

Yikes! Zirconium seems to be pricy. Thanks.
After a couple of hours googling, I found out that Billy Robinson plays a special Derby lap steel. I could not find the scale; string spacing is 3/8". _________________ Tony

Thanks, I had seen that. Interesting bits of info but he doesn't mention the scale.
Amazing what he can do! _________________ Tony

I use a Paloma ceramic bar on my Stringmaster. Maybe not quite as much sustain as steel, but excellent tone, much lighter and easier to maneuver for slants. And they cost about 25 bucks. |
Fred,
Thanks! I ordered one. _________________ Tony
