Topic: standard pedal spacing ? |

| The pedal spacing on my '72 P/P is 2 3/4" which I believe is wider than standard or most. Im pretty comfortable with it and im concerned about going with 9 pedals on a new axe (Zum) which would entail a 2 1/2 inch spacing. Could be a problem with my size 12 EE flat feet. I think an 8 pedal setup would entail a 2 5/8" spacing, which I guess is pretty standard is that correct? How many have a 2 1/2" pedal spacing and was it fairly adaptable? thanks |

| When I got my first Williams, I found the pedals to be too close. Bill Rudolph sent me another set of spacers to widen them, to match my Sierra. I ordered my second Williams with that same wider spacing (2 5/8"). [This message was edited by Bobby Lee on 26 April 2005 at 08:53 AM.] |

| Well, lengthening is easy, but I cant figure how pedal spacing can be widened without a major rebuild and resituating cross shafts. You move the second pedal over another 1/8". Then the 3rd has to move 1/4", then the 4th 3/8", etc. How do spacers accomplish that? [This message was edited by Steven Welborn on 26 April 2005 at 10:17 PM.] |

There are spacer inserts that slide into the pedal bar on the Williams. You can change the pedal spacing by simply changing the size of the insert. The pedal rods fan out slightly from top to bottom, but it works well and deosn't look bad at all.
