I don't think its keyless as he mentions a crack under the key head. But he could also be referring to the keyless tuning head. Just a guess.

Given that it has a few flaws, posting some close-up photos would probably be a good idea...

I don't understand this, either. You can get a brand new digital camera on Amazon for $50. It's not that hard to learn how to put pictures on the internet. I'm sure everybody on here would be glad to walk you through it, L.M.

I did talk to L.M. a few weeks back about another steel he had for sale and he was gracious and helpful and explained he did not have a camera.

Come on, guys! That's some pretty harsh comments especially "I ain't buying nothing without seeing some photos"

If you're not planning on buying it then I think these type of remarks are uncalled for. Maybe post them in the feedback section...but not on a listing someone has and I think it would be polite to remove the negative comments.

LM is a great guy and very honest in his dealings. He's in his 80's and isn't up to date on all of the computer technology but he's sharp as a tack. I've dealt with him several times over the years both buying and selling. To give you an indication of how he is...several years ago I had a Mullen that I just couldn't get used to the string spacing and wanted to trade for an Emmons. LM sent me an Emmons he had, paid for the shipping, and told me to keep it for awhile and try it out. If I wanted to keep it send him the Mullen and if I didn't just send him the Emmons back. (I kept the Emmons)

But that's the kind of guy he is and we've spoke several times on the phone since then. He's as fine a guy you could ask for and would never mislead anyone. This brings us back to his listing. If you're not interested in buying the guitar then pass on by without posting negative comments questioning his integrity. Let's all work together. Damir's issue was the exception to the rule and Billy's membership was suspended for his underhanded practice. LM is in no way the same type of person.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I have always said if it isn't what I said, you can pack it back up and send it back. I will refund the money. So far no one has ever had any adverse comments about any guitar I have sold. Thanks again to all for the positive comments. L.M.

LM, I hope you don't take this the wrong way but I would venture a guess that more than a handful of us would like to see photos of a steel we wish to buy. Of course, photos do not tell everything about a steel but they are a good start and create more interest and follow up.

Also, it is reassuring that many Forum members have spoken here of their positive. interactions with you and insist you are an honest man. I value their opinions and have no reason to doubt what they say is true but please remember that most of us have not had similar interactions and do not know you at all.

Good luck with your sale, Stevet

For all you who want to see photos, pullup the Search page at the top under the Steel Guitar Forum Type in Excel D10 and hit search. The page will come up with all the D10 Excels listed. My Excel is about six inches down on the page, and Lists Excel D10 with TWO knee levers $1,400.00. There are Pictures of the steel there before it was rodded correctly and new strings AND FIVE knee levers to bring it up to playing standard. It plays excellent and has a great tone. I hope this clears everyone's questions. THANK YOU, L.M.
