I was attempting to adjust my Super Pro and noticed how heavy just the pedal bar is. Does anyone make an Aluminum Pedal bar for Sho-Bud? Never heard of one but... maybe _________________ Steel Drinking Coffee Player |

I'm sure the Sho~Bud pedal bar is aluminum. |

Are you calling the steel axle that the pedals turn on a pedal bar? The axle, wing nuts and the screws are the only parts that aren't aluminum, and that is a good thing. _________________ Chris Lucker

I have an old D10 where the entire assembly is steel! It weighs a ton but has a nice solid feel. My home-build is aluminium with a stainless steel tube axle to save weight. (It is suspended between each pedal.) _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

That is curious that you had a steel pedal rack. Because the early Sho-Bud pedal racks were cast aluminum.
Cast aluminum was used because it could be polished to s high lustre, and of course, it is more resistant to bending than extrusion. _________________ Chris Lucker

Thanks everyone. I assumed it was't aluminum because of the weight. I guess I'm just use to my little Justice. She's a gem...still love the old Sho-Buds. _________________ Steel Drinking Coffee Player |

Ian,
I don't know how old your Sho~Bud was but I had a Fingertip and the pedal bar was aluminum on that model. |

Sorry if I gave the impression that mine was a Bud. In fact it's a copy of a permanent by an unknown maker. I need to get it out of storage and check, but my recollection is that all the pedal components are steel castings.
