Christian Life - Not the Intro - the licks!

Hey guys,
I worked out the intro for Christian Life (Byrds version, naturally), but I'm intrigued by the licks in the background behind the singing (like at 0:14-0:18, 0:59, 1:54).

Maybe I'm not getting them because I only have the A and B pedal? If anyone can give me a hint or two about those kind of licks, I'd be happy.
