An annoying problem I run into every now and then is where steel legs and older mic stands slip. It's their old or missing clutch pieces. Sometimes, if all the clutch parts are still there I've been able to clean and get it working again. Not so when parts are missing.

Does anybody have a source for such parts or how they fixed theirs? I really don't want to do the duct tape thing.

Thanks.

Some put a wooden dowel the right length inside the leg. I have used a small hose clamp on the small part of the leg.
