Sonny...Two lugs sounds like you need a 2 conductor cable (heavier type gauge like 12,or 14,or 16) with a banana plug on one end to the GK amp:
Then the other end going to a 1/4 inch phono plug into your speaker cab (if you are using a 1/4" jack on your cab build _________________ Emmons Push Pull, BMI, Session 400, Home of the Slimcaster Tele. |

You can use a piece of 16 gauge lamp cord. Or, buy a 16 gauge extension cord and cut the ends off.
Speakers don't need shielded cable. _________________ Amateur Radio Operator NA4IT (Extra)

I may, in fact, be nuts. However, I am screwed onto the right bolt... Jesus! |

Sonny, GK MB 200 use a Speakon type plug and on early ones a standard 1/4 inch jack could be used plugged into centre of Speakon socket, but not on newer ones. 12/14/16 cable. _________________ MSA Millenium SD10, GK MB200, Sica 12inch cab, Joyo American Sound Pedal/ Jay Ganz Straight Ahead amp, Telonics 15inch in Peavey cab, Digitech RP150, Peterson tuner.Hilton volume pedal.Scott Dixon seat and guitar flight case. |

Looks like this was the info I needed,,,does it matter which lug on speaker is ground? I plan on putting a female 1/4" jack on the cabinet so that I can use any standard cable from cabinet to amp. |

If they're separated by more than a couple feet, it won't matter. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Sonny, speaker connections are usually labeled + and -, or red and black. Black, or the - terminal are referred to as ground connections. _________________ Best regards,

Sonny - Take a 9 volt battery touch - tap it to the speaker lugs use a little extension wire if needed.
The + side of the battery will make the cone jump forward , that is the Positive lug , reverse the battery and the cone should jump inward.
Very Simple effective test for any loudspeaker.

ΒΌ" jacks are fine for speaker connections, but the cable needs to be the heaviest gauge - a guitar cord would likely have too much resistance and impair the sound. I use stuff from an old lawn mower. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!
