Jack, I've tried one and didn't care to much for it. It works on single string very slow fills but you playing double stops work better and any more just gets very cluttered. Maybe if you were in a studio it would be better but then you could just overdub.

Lyle, thanks for the info, I looked at the newer one they have out (not sure the model number). There is a demo that the guitar is playing all kind of double notes, it has the chord changer knob like the voice harmonizer. I am looking for something that I can play live and get the 3/part effect like Ray price style fiddling....thanks jack

I don't know what brands they used, but I've played with a couple fiddle players that sounded very fake with them. As I recall, Tommy Williams used one on some of the old YouTube ISGC videos and even he sounded crappy.

That said, nothing beats playing real harmony and in my opinion, none did it better than Johnny Gimble.

Jim, I totally agree that nothing can take the place of real harmony, but if there are no other players around you just do what you can. I would not be using this as a backup except a couple of songs per set maybe, I mostly just play steel guitar. I may not be able to find anything I can use....thanks jack

Look up my friend David Varnado, he has developed one and in the process of improving his . I ve heard it and it's fantastic but you have to be a spot on player. If you can't play in key, this one won't be for you!
Look him up on Facebook!!
Dale
