I have been busy and out of town, Just got a chance to plug in Brad Sarno's Solar Flare distortion pedal and give a quick test.
No question that it by far surpasses all my expectations.
Tone is very nice and balanced across all 12 strings.
Sounds like very good Allman Bro.s blues or David Lindley type singing clear tone.
Actually plays chords fairly well "for heavy distortion"
Very Happy Thanks Brad !

cool! his earth drive is my "go to" pedal steel overdrive... almost TOO clean but doesnt seem to get confused by the pedal steel harmonic structure.. what is the difference with this pedal?

The Earth Drive is really good with chords and harmonies not being too cluttered by distortion harmonics. This new Solar Flare, on the other hand, is a pretty heavy harmonic pedal and does not fare as well with full chords, maybe power chords, but it's really a bit more of a "lead" or "solo" kind of pedal compared to the Earth Drive.
