Anyone know how I can get a round, black, powder coated Jim Eaton knob protector for my amp? I have one I bought a while ago, but the www.jimeatonmusic.com no longer works.
I don't want to make my own. I don't get a lot of spiritual fulfillment out of building things (anymore). I'd rather play.
Now I have a second 112 and would like the guard as it matches my first amp. Thanks, friends. |

The black round style "Knobguard" is called a "George Guard" and was not my product. You can search for that name here on the forum and may find a matching guard.
I no longer make or sell them.

It's been over 6 months since George has posted here. I know a couple people that have tried to contact him about these and the pads he used to make.
Anybody over there in north eastern Tenn. look in on or heard anything from him lately? Hope everything is OK. |

I just called and left a message on his cell phone. Maybe he will see this or call me back. I will let you know if I hear back from him. _________________ If you succeed in cheating someone, don't think that the person is a fool. It's just that the person trusted you far more than you deserved. |

George has had some physical issues and has been recovering for several months. He is doing better now and is planning on getting back to playing. I have talked to him a couple of times and he seems to be doing well but I'm not sure if he is still making the George Guard. _________________ SHO-BUD SUPER PRO D10(8+10)

Thanks for the report David. I'm sorry to hear George has had some issues, but I'm glad to hear he is recovering steadily. |

I hate to hear that Jim Eaton no longer makes and sales his knob guard. |

While the final outcome wouldn't have the elegant chromed look of Jim's original "don't leave home without one" [] Knob Guard, probably something equally effective could be easily fashioned out of aluminum stock, available at any big box store, by someone handy with a hacksaw and a file. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |
