Ahhh..great question..

Steel on it's own right around 30 pounds

Case around 18 or so.

Also standard height from floor to bottom of the Steel around 25 inches

I have an early 80's, I think 84 Pro 1. Great playing and sounding guitar. Mine is double raise, double lower. Put John Coop fingers in it and it now plays very smoothly. Has your undercarriage been overhauled?
I notice you have the hex cross shafts and spring locks for the rods instead of the style with allen screws. Just wondering if they came from the factory like this. Either way, these are great sounding, light weight guitars. The new owner will not be disappointed.

Jim; Tony's is original; all original parts except the rod holder clips; those are something Duane came up with later years. What you are talking about on yours is NOT original to a 80's Shobud; as yours would have the undercarriage you're looking at on Tony's. Sounds like yours was upgraded.

Tony what do the spring clips do? First time I've seen them and couldn't figure out their function.
Beautiful guitar by the way.

The spring clips secure the pull rods to the bell cranks ! These are "Sho Pro" spring clips and are a far superior method then using the old Sho Bud "carburetor linkage" style clips to secure the pull rods to the bell crank.
