I have a 1975 MSA D10 8/4 and would like to have it insured. How would I go about finding out how much it's really worth for insurance purposes? I had her since new - she and my Peavey Session 400! Thanks to all.

Roger,

There are two ways to look at it. If you insure it for present day resale value, it is probably worth $2000 to $2500. However, if it were stolen or destroyed, you would be better off with current day replacement cost value which would be more like $4000 to $5000. A Steel guitar store like Steel Guitar Nashville, or Billy Cooper's Music
could probably write you an appraisal of it's current value if you sent them a series of good pictures of the guitar and described it well.

Thanks for the insight. I will consider those options!
