BW 12" speaker

I have a Fender 65 w sidekick amp that has a PSG BW 12" speaker in it. I played my reg guitar thru it last night and sounded funny. My steel sounds good thru it but my guitar I just don't know. Or is it just me.

It's probably the classic equalization and the speaker that makes it sound "funny".
