Early 50's Fender/Champion Lap Steel Project-(SOLD)

I have an early 50's (?) Fender Champion lap steel body with parts for sale. If you're looking for a vintage body with parts to make a player's lap steel this is your baby. Just add a pickup and wire it up. I was given this many years ago and it had already been stripped of the original parts so you don't think that I just parted them out. Body has some cosmetic wear and pieces of the MOTS finish are gone. Some extra screw holes under the bridge cover and a couple of snapped off screws embedded. Everything should be visible in the photos. There is some writing on both headstock and back of the guitar (once again visible in the photos). The bridge cover was made by a friend of mine and fits pretty good. There is a genuine shark's tooth at the top for mojo! The bridge is now set up as a toploader but has no issues like it is. You can fit a Tele bridge pup in the cavity and wire it up to go. If you put a different size pup in there you may need to do some routing in the pickup cavity. Aftermarket tuners, bridge and new input jack ring. Basically what you see is what you get. I'll take care of shipping in CONUS & PP fees. $180.00 or reasonable offers (or possible trade for Jauernig Tiki Tongue or 8 string Lap Steel).
